Can you show love with food, I believe you can.  That is what soul food is for me. cooking with love.  It is not particularly fancy looking but it taste amazing.  Unfortunately, I cannot eat soul food everyday.  My waste line nor my blood pressure will allow me to do so.  As I get older, I make the effort to try and eat healthier each day.  Certain truths will remain the same, I like to snack.  I sit at a desk and type my heart away while making phone calls nine hours a day before making my commute home.

I am not as physically active as I used be, so I was pretty excited to discover Love with Food at a conference.  The folks at Love with Food were nice enough to send me a sample box to try.   What is Love with Food about, what makes them different than just going Whole Foods and buying some organic snacks?  They deliver organic or all-natural snacks  to your door every month through a subscription membership.  Through your membership with every box sold, they donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry.  This is a business with a giving spirit.  Their subscriptions come at three different membership levels; Tasting Box, Deluxe Box, and Gluten Free Box.  The difference between the subscription levels are number of snacks and the number of meals given to help feed hungry children.

I shared my tasting box with my coworkers and we liked just about every snack in the tasting box.  There was debate about the sweet potato chips, but the brownie brittle received universal love.  I did reach out to the Love with Food company and ask if you could pick your snacks and no you do can not pick your snacks.  Each month a variety of snacks will come to your home or office that will hopefully introduce you to different brands.  You can also shop their website for products like dried fruit, vegan caramels, and cookie kits.  I really like their message of snacking smart and doing good.  If you are looking for a unique gift this holiday season, this might very well do the trick.  We all snack, so every time you see that box each month, you will know, someone in need had a chance to eat with you.
